Men usually make their home made „pomlázka”, which is a braided whip that they use on Easter Monday. Besides, women cook delicious special Easter meals, and decorate the eggs (which is called „kraslice”), but they also create hand-painted colourful eggs with flowers or other forms.

There is a special tradiotion on Easter Monday as a Whipping Monday, when boys visit girls houses in the village, simbolically whip them on the leg and douse them with a bucket of water. They believed that this is bring health and youth for the rest of the year. After this process, girls usually reward them with their painted eggs or some candy, and tie a ribbon around the "pomlázka"
This tradition is very popular in the small villages, but other big cities do not follow these customs. People usually just spay parfumes on the girls and they reward them with alcohol or money, instead of eggs.
