Ski Resorts in Central Europe

Although now most of us are busy with Holliday preparations, it is better now, than never to start to arrange our ski break! The following 3 winter destinations are special to our heart, because of our local offices in the particular countries and our personal relations to the region. But these ski resorts are not just our favourites, but also preferred by many wintersport tourists and families. We tell you the why!

Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria

Situated near Salzburg, hal way between Munich and Vienna, Sallbach-Hinterglemm belongs to the most popular ski resorts between Christmas and March. Saalbach has earned a reputation as a resort with very rewarding ski runs in recent years. This tag is well deserved. Anyone travelling on an all-inclusive Ski Miquel holiday will discover over 200km of groomed runs (north and south facing), many tree lined, leading to adjacent villages going past many inviting mountain huts. There are 52 in total, all cheaper than France! This resort offers both breathtaking views, and snow thrills for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities, little wonder it's known as The Ski Circus to regular visitors. 
 

Donovaly, Slovakia

Donovaly belongs to the top ski resorts in Slovakia courtesy of its great location and cheap services. This nicely built village, in the western part of Low Tatras. Good quality ski slopes of all categories and artificial snow is a certainty. Besides skiing you can enjoy yourselves and have fun in variety of attractions, which this resort provides for its visitors. Toboggans, ice skating ring, snow paragliding and ski school are only few of many possibilities how to really enjoy winter. The youth also likes going to discotheques on snow and night skiing. There are several restaurants and snow bars, ski rental shops and ski service on the premises of this ski resort. A great temptation for many visitors are also competitions of dog-teams, which are taking place every year in Donovaly.
 

Zakopane, Poland

Zakopane has Poland's biggest oldest and best ski resorts. They are located south of Zakopane town, close to the Slovak border and on the edge of the Tatra Mountains National Park, in southern Poland, South of Krakow. The skiing at Zakopane is fragmented and the lift infrastructure oldish, although, reportedly, undergoing significant modernization.
